Audience Research
I got this image from a site called quantic foundry about Minecraft's audience profile. I think this will help me understand a bit more about what age group my game could affect.
Based on my idea which will be a sci-fi action type of game I can only guess that my audience will probably surround people around the ages of 16 and over but I think that it will mostly interest people that are just generally interested in Sci-fi related things .

PEGI Labels and their meaning.
The PEGI labels appear on front and back of the packaging indicating one of the following age levels: 3, 7, 12, 16 and 18. They provide a reliable indication of the suitability of the game content in terms of protection of minors. The age rating does not take into account the difficulty level or skills required to play a game.
PEGI 3
The content of games given this rating is considered suitable for all age groups. Some violence in a comical context (typically Bugs Bunny or Tom & Jerry cartoon-like forms of violence) is acceptable. The child should not be able to associate the character on the screen with real life characters, they should be totally fantasy. The game should not contain any sounds or pictures that are likely to scare or frighten young children. No bad language should be heard.
PEGI 7
Any game that would normally be rated at 3 but contains some possibly frightening scenes or sounds may be considered suitable in this category.
PEGI 12
Videogames that show violence of a slightly more graphic nature towards fantasy character and/or non graphic violence towards human-looking characters or recognisable animals, as well as videogames that show nudity of a slightly more graphic nature would fall in this age category. Any bad language in this category must be mild and fall short of sexual expletives.
PEGI 16
This rating is applied once the depiction of violence (or sexual activity) reaches a stage that looks the same as would be expected in real life. More extreme bad language, the concept of the use of tobacco and drugs and the depiction of criminal activities can be content of games that are rated 16.
PEGI 18
The adult classification is applied when the level of violence reaches a stage where it becomes a depiction of gross violence and/or includes elements of specific types of violence. Gross violence is the most difficult to define since it can be very subjective in many cases, but in general terms it can be classed as the depictions of violence that would make the viewer feel a sense of revulsion.
Descriptors shown on the back of the packaging indicate the main reasons why a game has received a particular age rating. There are eight such descriptors: violence, bad language, fear, drugs, sexual, discrimination, gambling and
online gameplay with other people.

Extended Consumer Advice
This is specific information explaining why a game received its classification. A number of examples are listed below:
Contains: extreme violence, criminal techniques, glamorisation of crime, strong language
Contains: comic violence
Contains: nudity, strong language, unrealistic violence
I think that I would give my game a pegi rating of 12 because my game won't really contain any human death or gore because it will consist of robots and machinery but because this is the type of theme that I am going for I will also put up an extended consumer advice such as the game contains: comic violence and unrealistic violence. There may also be a fear warning considering that my game will be based on giant mechanical insects.

IP Law
"Having the right type of intellectual property protection helps you to stop people stealing or copying:
- the names of your products or brands
- your inventions
- the design or look of your products
- things you write, make or produce
Copyright, patents, designs and trade marks are all types of intellectual property protection. You get some types of protection automatically, others you have to apply for.
You own intellectual property if you:
- created it (and it meets the requirements for copyright, a patent or a design)
- bought intellectual property rights from the creator or a previous owner
- have a brand that could be a trade mark, eg a well-known product name
Intellectual property can:
- have more than one owner
- belong to people or businesses
- be sold or transferred"
I got these quote from https://www.gov.uk/intellectual-property-an-overview.
I agree with these rules which is why I will be creating everything from my own imagination and creativity.
Contract
For my cut-scene I am planning on first of all creating and modelling my props like, my protagonist and my antagonist including mini enemies. My cut-scene will of the protagonist facing against the antagonist and his little minions who are trying escape from the prison ship.
I will most definitely be using bones for my characters to create that sort of realistic effect. I don't really have a target duration for my cut-scene I think I will just have it last as long as the fight between the protagonist and the antagonist goes. As for materials I don't think i'll be using much details and colours for my protagonist as he is a cyborg. I'm going to try and make model my characters as simple as possible so that it wouldn't take too long to animate it and render it.
